ABOUT THE COMPETITION IN THE GROWING JUICE SEGMENT

Juice and smoothie bars are now an important segment in Canada’s competitive beverage sector. According to Entrepreneur Magazine the annual growth of smoothie bars is 25% annually while the fast food segment is barely growing at 5%.
In America Jamba Juice already has 700 stores nationwide contributing to the $1 billion industry in that country. Booster Juice really has to know what they are doing and its going to get tougher for them to stay the number one fastest growing Juice bar in Canada.

Competitors for Booster Juice are bubbling up all over Canada such as Jugo Juice (a Calgary based company who joined the franchise fray in 2002 and continues to grow), and Euphoria Smoothies (based in North Bay, Ontario, and have licences in the U.S., U.K., UAE, and India.

When you go to the mall food court you see A LOT of different drink and frozen yogurt type of options and Booster Juice is not always our first choice. You will see a variety of drink options such as Bubble Tease, Dairy Queen/ Orange Julius, Freshly Squeezed, Jugo Juice, Teaopia, Yogen Fruz etc.
